About: elizabeth hauser

I'm a new writer, taking up an old love affair with writing that I put on the back burner when I switched majors from English to Nursing many, many years ago. My husband and I moved here to Oregon, at the dead center of the coast (Florence) exactly a year ago from the town of Central, Arizona. It was a huge adventure, because we knew no one here. I have five grown children and ten grandchildren. I've known all my life I wanted to write a book...I just didn't know what I wanted to write about. I'm not ashamed to say that I believe some of us have to live awhile to have something to say, and a voice to say it with. I'm an admitted late bloomer, and it doesn't bother me a bit. I've accepted that it's my style, and it's okay. I love outdoor activities: backpacking, hiking, camping, fishing, raising farm animals (some), gardening. Of course, I love to read and write.Only in the last couple of years have I discovered fiction and what I was missing by focusing most of my reading on non-fiction . I could write either, and with my nursing background, I may write some non-fiction at some point, but I feel like I'm boiling inside with stories to tell, and I want to write novels.
